How can I add 2FA or MFA (Two/Multi Factor Authentication) to my account?

Each user (except SSO users) can activate MFA (multi factor authentication) on their account. To activate MFA, you need to go into ‘Settings’, then ‘Profile’. You can access the MFA activation feature by clicking on the ‘Two-factor Auth’ tab as shown below:

You can then activate the feature by clicking on the toggle button.

The first step is to input your password as a security measure, then you need to click on the ‘Next’ button.

A new window appears with a QR code.

The first step is to download an authentication app on your phone. You can use the Google Authenticator app for example.

Once you have downloaded the app, you can open the app. Just click on the + sign at the bottom right to add a new account:

When you click on the + sign, you have the option to scan a QR code:

Scan the QR code provided on the computer screen:

We also request that you store your secret code to retrieve your access should you lose your phone.

Once you scan the QR code with the Authenticator, the app will provide a six digit code you can enter under the QR code. The code is replaced every 30 seconds so you have limited time to enter it. If it does not work the first time, wait for a new code to appear so you have sufficient time to input it.

Once you have provided the code, the 2FA is enabled in Whispli and you get a confirmation message:

From now on, every time you need to log into Whispli, you will be required to enter your login (email address), password and then the code provided by the Authentication app.
