What is a Channel?

Learn what channels are, what kind of channels can be configured and how you can use them.

In Whispli, a channel is a reporting form that can be used by informants, disclosers and case managers to submit a report.

In each channel, it's possible to define each step and each question to create the most appropriate form possible.

Only administrators, restricted admins and configurators can create new channels.

When creating a new channel, you have several options:

Standard Forms

Forms are standard forms than can be used anonymously by informants through the web based platform. Links to standard forms can be added on the Whispli pages.

Internal Forms

Internal forms are forms that must be used from the Case Management. They are the only forms available in the menu to create a new report in the Case Management. Using these forms therefore require users to have a licensed access to Whispli.

Disclosure Forms

Disclosure forms are forms than can be used non-anonymously by disclosers through the web based platform. They require the user to disclose their identity, either through SSO or their email. Links to disclosure forms can be added on the Whispli pages.

Hotline

Hotline channels are usually created by the Whispli staff because they require a connection to a phone number. A hotline channel is automatically fed by a voice recording and transcription, or by AI, depending on your plan.

Chat

This channel is just a one field form that informants can fill in to start a chat conversation directly. It is rarely used as it requires to have resources able to answer informants at any time. Each Whispli account can only have one Chat channel which can be linked on the Whispli pages.

💡Depending on your plan, you may not have all these options available. Please reach out to us if you would like to discuss more channel options at support@whispli.com
