# Why is there a character limit for the page title and description?

## Whispli imposes character limits on the page title and description fields to ensure optimal readability, accessibility and layout consistency across devices.

### **Current character limits**

Title (Headline): up to 300 characters

Description: up to 800 characters

### **Why these limits exist**

- Mobile compatibility

Limiting the number of characters ensures that the content displays well on all screen sizes, especially mobile devices.

- Clarity and impact

Short, focused titles and descriptions are easier to read and understand quickly. These limits ensure that the buttons are visible at first glance on any device, so users don't have to scroll down to find them. 

- Preventing layout issues

Longer text may break formatting or create inconsistent layouts, particularly when translations are involved.

- Encouraging simplicity

These restrictions help organizations keep messages concise and user-friendly.
