Can I use multiple workflows in parallel?

The answer is yes. While many standard configurations begin with a single primary workflow, the platform fully supports running multiple workflows in parallel to meet complex organizational or legal needs.

What does "Parallel Workflows" mean?

Running workflows in parallel means you can have separate, distinct "engines" for evaluating the reports/cases you receive. This is essential for:

  • Departmental Specialization: You can have one workflow specifically for HR Grievances, another for Financial Audits, and a third for Health & Safety reports.

  • Geographic Compliance: Different regions often have different legal requirements. You can run a European Workflow that includes specific GDPR and EU Whistleblowing Directive language alongside a Global Workflow for other regions.

How to Activate This Feature

Because managing multiple workflows adds a layer of complexity to your platform's architecture, this feature is typically toggled by our technical team to ensure your environment stays optimized.

How to get started: If you need to implement parallel workflows, simply reach out to the Whispli Support or Success Team. We will activate this capability for your account and can even help you clone existing workflows to save you time during the setup process.

Why run workflows in parallel?

Using parallel workflows allows for cleaner data and more secure triage. Instead of one "giant" form that tries to cover every possible topic, you can provide case managers with a streamlined experience that only asks questions relevant to their specific concern.

By separating these flows, you also ensure that sensitive data is siloed correctly—for example, making sure that your Finance team never accidentally sees a sensitive HR report.
