Learn how to update questions of your Form after it was set to Live.
Usually, once you're happy with the Form you've configured, you'll change its status from Draft to Live. But after doing a few testing or gathering feedback from your colleagues, you might want to edit a question or add new ones to it.
Here are the steps to add or edit questions:
Edit an existing question of your Form
If your Form has been set to Live, the first thing you'll need to do is to Pause it on the top left side of the page by sliding the blue button to the left.
A message will pop up to let you know that a paused Form will not be available for Informants. You'll need to make sure you set it back to "Live" once you're done with your changes.
When you pause a Form, you'll notice that the questions are locked and can not be edited simply by clicking on them.
This is to make sure we maintain your data integrity - live Forms might already have gathered answers from Informants.
Therefore, in order to edit a question of your Form you'll need to follow these steps:
1. Duplicate the question you want to edit
The duplicated version of the question will automatically be located at the bottom of the step.
2. Archive the locked question you just duplicated
If you want to now hide the initial question, you won't be able to simply delete it. You'll need to archive it.
3. Edit the duplicated question and move it around your form to put it at the right place
Tip: you can always rely on the "Live Preview" on the right side of your screen to understand how your Form would currently look like.
Finally, to add a new question, simply click on Add a Question at the bottom of each Step.
Once you are done with your changes, make sure you set your Form back from Draft to Live mode to make it accessible for Informants!
Also, if you had any translations on your Form, you'll need to make sure you update the translated sentence you just edited via the Translations tab.
