Learn more about how we identify each Report to help protect an informant's identity.
Each time an informant submits a report, we assign that report with a random animal, object, etc, and a colour. This helps to identify the report as well as providing it with a name, instead of a number. This combination will remain with the report as it is submitted and moves through the investigation process.

Each report will have a different combination of animal, object, etc, and a colour. If the same informant submits multiple Reports, each one will have a different combination. This helps protect the informant's identity; if they had the same icon for each report it would be easier to potentially identify them over time.
