Should I use a one-step or a multi-step Workflow?

Learn the difference between the two and when you might use each option.

Whispli provides you with two options for building a questionnaire to use in your Workflows. The first option is to have a simple questionnaire that is contained on one page. The second option is to have a multi-page or stepped questionnaire. The questionnaire format you use depends on what you are trying to achieve, the length of your questionnaire, and the progression you want a case manager to go through.

One-Page Questionnaire

The one-page questionnaire is very simple as the case manager goes through the process and answers the questions sequentially, and once they are done they can then submit the Workflow.

When you would use a one-page questionnaire

  • You have a very simple process and need only a short questionnaire for case managers to fill out.
  • You want to keep everything on one page and make it simple for case managers to fill in and submit their reports.

Multi-Page or Stepped Questionnaire

A multi-page questionnaire in Whispli allows you to segment your questions into different pages or tabs, which helps you break up the Workflow into sections.

When would you use a multi-page or stepped questionnaire

  • You have a rather long process and you want to show the case manager the different steps of the process they will be going through.
  • The process is more complicated and breaking it into different sections provides a more natural flow to the process.
  • You want to have each section or step to have a different theme or focus to help the case manager follow the process you have put in place.
An example of how a multi-page questionnaire is shown below.
