What can trigger an Automation?

As you look at using Automations to help have Whispli do the heavy lifting for you, you want to understand what can trigger an Automation. In this knowledge article, we look at all of the different ways an Automation can be triggered and at what step does this trigger takes place.
 

Whistleblower Focused

  • A New Report Is Submitted

This Automation is triggered by a whistleblower submitting a new Report. In the condition section of the Automation, you can then decide which question and the whistleblower's answer triggers the Automation.
 

Case Manager Focused

  • A New Project Is Created

  • A Project Has A New Status

  • A Project Has A New Tag

  • A Report Has A New Status

  • A Report Has A New Tag

  • A Workflow Step On A Project Is Submitted

  • A Workflow Step On A Report Is Submitted

  • The Last Step Of A Workflow Is Submitted

  • The Last Step Of A Report Is Submitted

All of the triggers are controlled by the case manager or by another automation. These are actions that are taking place as case managers assess and investigate the Reports they have received and they will then trigger specific actions in Whispli.
